KRIS FRICK REPRESENTS BERMUDA DIGICEL CARIBBEAN CUP

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. – Adelphi University freshman defender Kris Frick (Warwick, Bermuda) has earned a spot on the Bermuda National Team for the Digicel Caribbean Cup. Bermuda is currently in qualifying play trying to earn a spot in the eight team final, which will be staged in Trinidad.

“We are very excited for Kris. This is an important step in his growth and development as a player,” Head Coach Bob Montgomery stated. “It is a tremendous accomplishment for a college freshman to selected to the full national team.”

Bermuda National team assistant coach Paul Scope profiled the players who make up the National team in the Bermuda Sun. He made the following statements in regard to Kris.

Kris has come back from a successful college season at Adelphi to boost our defensive capabilities at a time when injuries to stalwarts Kentoine Jennings and Stanton Lewis have left us short at the back.

He has the athleticism and versatility to play at centre back or midfield, but is more likely to be used in the right back spot he has played all season for Adelphi. Still only 17, he has a great future ahead of him.

Bermuda fell to Haiti, 2-0 in the first half of a two game series. The second game will be played today.
